Meet The Band
Boulevard Swing is an authentic, full-sized swing band based in the South West that can offer an extensive programme for any event, whether it's a wedding, corporate do or private party.
Brassed off
The trumpets are led by Boulevard Swing's head honcho 'Carry On' Kev, working in close harmony with the other valved bean cans Sarah, Phil, Laura and recent addition 'mine's a Guinness' Graham.
On the slide lines are the 'bones', headed up by one of the two Mark's. They get 'Misty' alongside BBQ king Ian, who often takes on the unenviable task of keeping us fed and watered, and our unofficial security, Brian.
The 'agony bags' on the front row are led by Lou on alto sax and 'only dogs can hear it' clarinet, with Liz on alto, Rich and our surrogate band mum George on tenor, and 'octopus prime' Alan, who's currently sticking with baritone, for now.
Bottoms up
Keeping us on the swung and narrow in the rhythm section is 'sticky' James on drums (if anyone finds his music, please return care of Boulevard Swing!), Kate, buried behind the scenes on bass, and our most recent and welcome newcomer, Phil on keys.
Finally, putting Boulevard Swing's music into more polite words is vocalist Ben. Being another newby, we haven't got a lot on him - yet!
